If you are 19+ and looking to fund your course fees for 2016/17 academic year, you can with the Advanced Learner Loan. Government Loans are now available to learners aged 19 and over for eligible further education courses at levels 3 to 6. This will not affect your entitlement to full funding for your first Level 3 qualification for those aged 19 to 23.
The Advanced Learner Loan will be available to learners aged 19+ starting eligible Further Education courses from 1st August 2016 onwards. You can apply for the loan from May 2016.

Qualifying for an Advanced Learner Loan all depends on your course, college or training provider, age and nationality or residency status
The loan is easy to apply for, your household income is not taken into account and it does not involve a credit check. If your course is eligible, the loan will fund your tuition fees at Level 3 and above including HE Access courses. You only start to pay back the loan once you have finished your course and you are earning over £21,000. Until then you do not need to pay back anything, but you can make voluntary repayments at any time.

If you decide to apply for the loan you need to obtain a learning and funding information letter from our Admissions Department when you enrol. You also need a National Insurance Number to complete your loan application and a valid passport if you have one.

Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund
